Hi I'm Janeth

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in the western United States and I love the desert.

About Me

I have been married for almost 34 years. I raised seven beautiful children and currently have 12 grandchildren with more on the way. They are the light of my life. I love to visit them and have them here whenever I can. I love to spend time researching my ancestors and doing indexing. My hobbies are repairing sewing machines and silversmithing. I make jewelry for friends and family. I love the outdoors and hope to travel around the country riding old trains.

Why I am a Mormon

There is nothing more important in my life than my family. God is our eternal father and I know he would want us to grow, excel and be happy in every way just as I want that for my children. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches us this and so much more. The more I study the scriptures; the easier it is for me to understand what my Heavenly Father wants for me and what he expects of me. I only need to kneel in honest prayer to feel God's love for me and have it re-affirmed that this is His church and He has brought it here to help us find our way back to Him and live forever with God and our families.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a teacher in our local church. I teach Family History and help others learn of it's importance to bind our families together for eternity. I also volunteer at the local Family History Center. I attend the temple as often as I can. I really love to go, it is so peaceful and helps me keep my life in perspective. I pray daily for myself, family and friends (even those I have yet to meet). I know God listens and answers these prayers. I attend church every Sunday even while traveling, there is always a church to be found somewhere near where we are. I give my Sabbath to the Lord in worship to Him and make it a day of rest, study, contemplation and family. My faith is a part of everything I do.
