Hi I'm Blake Sulski

I'm a cliff diver. A born and bred Texan. A missionary serving in Salt Lake City. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors and anything to do with sports. One of my favorite hobbies is to cliff dive in the summer. I am currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints in the Salt Lake City Utah South mission and love it. One of the things that the current church president, Thomas S. Monson has asked is that every worthy young man should serve a mission. I accepted that call through inspiration of God to go about teaching the truths of the Gospel. You wouldn't think that would be needed in Salt Lake seeing is that it is where the church headquarters are located and Utah especially is known for the amount of members that are located therein, but I have seen through my service, that the Gospel needs to be declared here, as much as anywhere else. I've seen the gospel change lives. I know it be true, and that everyone should give it a chance and experiment upon the words of Christ, and find out if the Book of Mormon is the word of God.

Why I am a Mormon

I prayed and gained a testimony of the validity of the Book of Mormon and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I walk by faith, rather than by sight.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Through out the history of time, we have seen a period of what is referred to as a dispensation, or when there is a prophet on the Earth, revealing to us what the Lord requires at that time, and an apostasy, when the people reject the prophet and turn to other forms of worship and deny God and His teachings. Those who follow this course of Apostasy, deny themselves of the Lord's blessings, and thereby must rely on the knowledge of man to teach them spiritual things, which simply cannot work. We read an instance of this when Nicodemus came in unto Christ to gain further understanding of how to enter the kingdom of God in John Ch. 3. Christ speaks of being born again. Nicodemus misunderstands thinking he must enter the womb and come hence. Christ continues, teaching that a man must be born of water and of the spirit, or he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. We recognize that Nicodemus was a Pharisee and one highly revered for his knowledge of the Mosaic Law and yet, he continues and asks Christ of how these things are done? Christ then asks, "Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?" He then continues saying, " We speak of that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?" I bare witness that a need for restoration existed, that we might not live in the dark but the light, guided by a true and living prophet today. Show more Show less
