Hi I'm Avie

I'm a Mormon. I was born in the Philippines and now lived in the United States.

About Me

My husband and I are celebrating our 15th Anniversary this month. We got married in Manila Philippines Temple.

Why I am a Mormon

Our family met the missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of LDS way back in 1984 when I was 10 years old and got baptized that same year with my mom and my siblings. A lot of missionaries from the other churches were teaching us during that time but all of them had said bad things about 'Mormons' but when my mom asked the missionaries about other religions, the missionaries didn't bad mouth anyone of them and that caught my mom's attention and we started investigating more about the LDS church. Even at that very young age, I felt something special about this church. I started to learn more about the great Plan of Salvation. Basic questions were answered such as where did we come from, why we're here and where are we going after this life? I have read, studied and prayed about the scriptures and the Book of Mormon and that's how I gained my testimony about the truthfulness and fullness of the Gospel. The Book of Mormon is another testimony of Jesus Christ, He's Atonement and love for all of us.

How I live my faith

Despite of my job which requires me to work every other weekend, I was given a wonderful blessing to be a teacher among women from ages 18 above. I learned more being a teacher. I really appreciate this calling as I am always in a company of wonderful, smart, funny and compassionate women. We help each other by sharing each others smiles, blessings and problems as well. I feel blessed to have this special calling...to be able to connect with wonderful women with such great wisdom and compassion among each other.
