Hi I'm Mike

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a graduate of the University of Washington with a Civil Engineering degree. I am a transportation engineer from King County Metro in Seattle, Washington. I am married and have four children and we are expecting another baby soon! I love playing sports, but I also love coaching my children and watching them learn and have a great time on the court or field. Our family loves to be in the outdoors, camp, hike and go biking.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church when I was 17 years old and am the only member in my family. I joined the church because I read the Book of Mormon and believed it to be true. I also felt really good about the lessons the missionaries were teaching me. I also had the opportunity to serve a full-time mission in South America in Paraguay and share my testimony of the gospel with the humble people whom I love and respect. Since I have joined the church, I have learned so much about my purpose here on earth and how to be like Jesus Christ. I continue to learn each day to be more like the Savior and try to do what He wants me to do. I feel so blessed to be able to serve Him.

How I live my faith

I try to be an example of the Savior in my words and actions. By living a Christ-centered life, I believe I can demonstrate to my Savior that I want to truly follow Him and show my love and respect to Him. By trying to pattern my life after the Savior, I believe that my family will also have a desire to pattern their lives after the Savior as well. I believe that families can be together forever and my greatest desire is to teach my family the blessing that come from living the gospel of Jesus Christ.
