Hi I'm Austin

I'm a Mormon. I went through high school and didn't let peer pressure affect who i am. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was captain of my football and lacrosse team in high school but also loved acting and performing so i was a lead in all the plays and musical in my school. Community service was another one of my passions so i joined a local group that did projects in my town but also traveled to Louisiana after the hurricane Katrina to help with the clean up. My grades kept me in the honor roll or high honor roll for the majority of my time at school and eventually led me to go to Brigham Young University- Idaho. Since then i decided to become a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and have been assigned to the Rome, Italy mission which i will be serving during the years 2012-2014

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have seen what the world has done to people. Kids are having sex and drinking. Adults are cynical and condescending about everything they think they know. Politicians make promises they never keep and the common person is rarely grateful for what they have. I am Mormon because i have been touched by the Spirit of God and it has led me to do wonderful things and to always be happy with what I have done and be hopeful for what I will do. I know who I am, where I am, and what I will be doing in my future and it is all because of my faith

How I live my faith

I live my faith in three different ways. I follow our basic teaching with my friends and family who are not a part of my church. I try and be an example by not swearing, not drinking, and saving myself for the woman i intend to marry in the future. The next way i live my faith is in the University choice I made. I attended Brigham Young University- Idaho, which is an officially church supported school. There they have many rules that help us to live the commandments of God and honestly I found it to be a Haven after living in Connecticut where i don't even need to walk down my whole street to find any number of illegal or immoral activities. The third way I live my faith is by making the decision and following through to serve a mission in my church. I leave next tuesday for the missionary training center we have in Provo, Utah and after 2 short months there i will be heading for the beautiful Rome, Italy mission where for 1 year and 10 months i will be trying to help bring the light of the Gospel to His italian Saints
