Hi I'm Jade

I'm passionate about food and my family. I love music and dance, sewing and crafts. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm passionate about cooking and crafting. I love to make things with my hands, whether its something to eat or something to play with or wear. I graduated from college with a degree in Economics but chose to stay at home with my two sweet children. It's one of the best choices I ever made. I'm trying to do the best I can with what we have and make our home a happy and loving place.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the church but did not fully understand how lucky I was to be a member until I was an adult. I had an experience while in college where I ended up on my knees pleading with my Heavenly Father to know what I was supposed to do. I needed direction and I asked Him to guide me. My prayers were answered and my faith has grown so much from that moment. I have drawn so much strength from prayer as I have felt His presence and love come ever more into my life. I have seen the difference the restored gospel of Jesus Christ has made in my life and the life of others. As Mormons we are guided by living prophets and apostles. They are inspired men who have taught me how to be a better person, a better wife, a better mother, a better daughter and sister, a better neighbor. I have felt the Holy Ghost bear testimony to me that Joseph Smith was called by God to restore his church to the earth in its fullness. As I seek to study the scriptures I have had this testified to me over and over again. I cannot imagine my life without the church and the guidance it gives.

How I live my faith

I am trying to be a kind friend, neighbor, and church member. I try to volunteer as often as I can in whatever ways I can. Being a mother of young children I am not able to go out and help as much as I like. I try to be a person that others know they can call for help, whether it's baby sitting or a meal. I have tried to be a good listener when people need someone to talk to. If there are donations needed whether it is foods or goods I try to make sure that I give as much as I can. Our women's group asked me to put together birthday cards for each woman in our area each month. I have enjoyed making the cards and hope that the women who receive the cards can know they were made with love. I also am assigned to visit with a few women in our area each month. I try to make sure that I know what is happening in their lives, both the good and the bad, and help when it is needed. I know that as we try to show love to others around us that we are following in Christ's footsteps and following his command to love one another.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

I only have to look around me and marvel at the complexity of life all around us. The human body is a marvelous machine. Each time that I have been pregnant I have pondered the complicated processes that my body has undertaken to not only create a new human but to also still provide for my health and to sustain me throughout my pregnancy. I have marveled at the bodies ability to heal and overcome trauma. Our bodies are so resilient and are such amazing creations. As I think of my heart beating, my lungs filling with air, my stomach digesting the food I eat I know that a wise God created us. Show more Show less
