Hi I'm Sylvia

I'm a recent convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

I was born in Maine, USA, and have lived here my whole life. I am married to a wonderful husband who is really awesome in many ways. I went to college and graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts with a Social Science concentration. I don't have any children but enjoy my 3 nephews and niece just the same. I enjoy reading, knitting, crochet and painting.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert and I was not brought up with exposure to a church. My parents wanted my sister and I to find religion on our own. With that said, the story of become a member of the church is interesting. My husband and I have friends that I have known since 1999 and they have 3 children. They had moved away and returned and decided to become more active in our local LDS church ward. They started getting lessons from our local missionaries and invited us to stay and join them. We decided to do so and it was great. The messages shared and the Book of Mormon we received were wonderful. As I prayed and thought about everything I learned I came to know that this church is true.

How I live my faith

My husband and I were just given the calling of being Ward Missionaries. We love this calling. We enjoy visiting and fellowship members of our Ward and helping the missionaries find new investigators that want to learn more about the church and the teaching of our Savior Jesus Christ. Every day I apply His teachings in how I live and treat others. Service to our neighbors and community is something I have always held dear and knowing I am following those teachings of Jesus Christ make me feel even more blessed and happy.
