Hi I'm Jace Melessa

I'm a husband. Soon to be father. I love the outdoors and sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, a soon to be father of a little boy, a brother, an uncle, and a son. I am currently working for a general contractor in the construction industry and I'm also a part time college student. I love spending time with my wife and our families. I love sports, especially basketball, hunting, fishing, hiking, hanging out with friends, video games, movies, and relaxing.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and was baptized at age eight. But i never knew for myself that the church and the gospel of Jesus Christ was real and true until much later in life. But i do know now that we have a Father in heaven that loves us, and that he sent His Son Jesus Christ to atone for the sins of every single person on this earth. I know that Joseph Smith restored the fullness of the gospel and translated the Book of Mormon which is another testament of Christ. I know that we have a prophet today in Thomas Monson who is called by God to lead us. I know these things through the power of the Holy Ghost and through personal experiences. When i was 18 remember reading a quote by Joseph Smith that said, "nothing impresses the soul as deeply as does the testimony of the Holy Ghost. The influence of the Holy Ghost is spirit speaking to spirit, and the indelible impression is one that brings conversion and conviction to the soul as no other influence can. The Holy Spirit reveals the truth with a positiveness wherein there is no doubt." I remember as I read this it was if the whole world around me stopped and time was frozen. I felt the Spirit so strong telling me all the things I had been taught growing up we're absolutely true. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to be a better person every day for my wife, our baby that's on his way, and my God. I work hard to provide for my family. I pay tithing to help the church and people in need. I attend the temple often to serve others and strengthen my family. I try do small acts of service for others as often as possible. I have taught lessons in church to the children and youth. I attend church meetings every Sunday to set a good example for those who know me. I do make mistakes and I am far from perfect but I try to make them right and repent and use Christ's atonement to get back on the right track. I will always strive to do what is right. This is how I live my faith.
