Hi I'm Clarah

I grew up in Canada. I love chocolate and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of five children. I grew up in British Columbia, Canada and I love it there. Yes, we say "eh" sometimes. :) I went to school back home and became a Certified Education Assistant, which means I give extra help to those kids in school who have a different way of learning the things taught in school. Such as children with learning disibilities or physical disibilities. I also took an American Sign Language course because I love sign language. It is one of the most beautiful languages out there. I would have loved to continue with it, but for now, my mission is my priority. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the church! However, at some point everyone has to have their own conversion story. I have grown up learning all about the gospel and it's teachings. As I have lived my life in accordance with the things that Jesus Christ has taught us, I have seen how my life has been greatly blessed due to the choices it has helped me make. For example, things like the Word of Wisdom (which is essentially a health code found in D&C section 89) has helped me to make decisions that have kept me out of trouble that I often see others involved with. Such as using tobacco or alcohol. These things are addictive substances that can greatly affect our bodies and minds in a negative way. By avoiding them, I don't have to worry about the negative affects they can have on my health. I have seen the way that living the restored gospel of Jesus Christ has made a significant and positive impact on my life, and the paths that I have taken. If you really think about it, it just makes SENSE! :) I have a strong testimony of what this truth can do for people in their own lives. If I didn't strongly believe it could bring people happiness, I wouldn't have made the scary decision to leave my family and friends for 18 months, to go to an unfamiliar place, to teach people I've never met about the Gospel of Jesus Christ :) Food for thought

How I live my faith

I taught in the Primary at church. I taught the 6-year-olds for 3 1/2 years and absolutely loved it! They're all so sweet... and energetic! :) When I was younger, I participated in several youth activities and was a president of my age group off and on. It taught me to be a leader and an example to others, and it also taught me how to teach and organize. I continue to apply the things I have learned in the church to my life in every way possible. You can benefit from learning about the Gospel, and even more by LIVING it! :)
