Hi I'm Courtney

I currently work for a non-profit organization that makes documentaries, I once worked at a chocolate factory, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband is attending an osteopathic medical school. My most random job was working in a chocolate factory (random but FANTASTIC!!!) I love country music, food, and spending time with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

There are certain truths that just make sense. In particular, I love the plan of salvation. Our Father in Heaven has a plan that allows all of His children to hear the gospel, either in this life or in the next. No one is forgotten.

How I live my faith

The church gives us the opportunity to serve each other. I have had the opportunity to teach others, help maintain the church building, organize events, etc. This helps me become more Christlike. I have learned so much from other individuals. By attending church weekly, I have an opportunity to refocus on the things that are most important.

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

For Sunday services, we generally wear nicer clothing. We love to celebrate holidays that focus on the Savior, like Christmas and Easter. But we also have fun with other non-religious holidays as well. Birthdays, Thanksgiving, and cultural holidays can help bring families together. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

The family is the perfect environment for us to practice and practice again until we have become more like the people God wants us to be. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?
