Hi I'm Evan Millett

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wanderlust. Ever since I was a child, I've always marched to the beat of a different drummer. At the age of 5, while other boys were in little league, I was attending art exhibitions in Los Angeles with my mother and grandmother. I adore traveling and watching classic b/w movies. Eating out with my family and friends is quite possibly my most favorite activity.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church, as were my parents, and so the Church is well rooted within my family. I have several ancestors on my father's side that were part of the Mormon Pioneers and who made the Exodus from Nauvoo, IL to UT. My ancestry is what defines me and I am truly grateful for it.

How I live my faith

I admit my faith has been tested to the brink on several occasions. My life was spared from 2 near-death experiences and I have struggled with my schooling and personal loss. But now, I have my GED, I have a Certificate in Dental Technology, I received the Melchizedek Priesthood after years of struggle and preparation, and I recently obtained a job at a dental laboratory in Charlotte, NC. I owe all my achievements to One Person: My Heavenly Father. I know it is through Him and His Mercy that I am where I am now. The question "How I live my faith" is a work in progress. Nobody in this world is perfect and I am striving every single day to show my love and devotion to the Almighty. I have had several callings through the years: Deacons Quorum President, Teachers Quorum President, Priest Quorum Secretary, Priest Quorum President, Elders Quorum Secretary, Activities Committee and the Break the Fast Committee.

What is the Law of Chastity?

Evan Millett
The Law of Chastity is one of the many things that defines me as a Mormon. It is Heavenly Father's commandment that sexual relations are to be practiced between a MAN and a WOMAN, who are legally married as man and wife. We stress the imperative necessity of abstaining from any sexual intercourse before marriage. I am single and therefore choose to live in abstinence until I am legally and lawfully married to the woman I love. All forms of sexual debauchery--pornography, strip clubs, and so forth--are the Black Death of our times. They must be avoided at all costs. No one would place there hand freely on a hot stove burner. So should we feel towards these poisons. Show more Show less
