Hi I'm Delaynie Douglas

I ride my bike. I play piano. I have fibromyalgia. I chill with my nephew. I'm a science nerd. I dance. A lot. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love to walk in the rain barefoot. My hobbies include riding my bicycle, playing piano, singing in the car, photography, staying up way too late, being outdoors, dancing, and spending time with my family and friends. I have dreams and goals just like anybody else, and I am determined to see them fulfilled. I have Fibromyalgia, and in consequence my health changes rapidly day to day, but I try not to let it dampen my spirit. I am determined to live my life as best as I can, while enjoying the beauty around me. Although the many struggles I go through physically, I am strong and ready to continue on in the path that my Heavenly Father has made for me.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into this church, I still have had to make the conscious choice of converting myself to this religion. I had to come to know for myself the truth of the Book of Mormon, the truth of Joseph Smith, the truth of Jesus Christ, and the truth of my Heavenly Father's plan for each of us. I have come to know for myself the truth of this gospel. I am a mormon because I cannot deny what is real. I love the joy, peace, comfort, and sweet spirit that the gospel brings into my life. I am very grateful to my valiant grandparents, who had chosen to be baptized so long ago. I developed my own strong testimony when I was 15 years old and in a wheel chair. I am now walking, thanks to the tender mercies of the Lord.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to serve others. The gospel is all about helping others in need, and to go about doing good. I strive for that. Although I can be very shy, I try to be a good example to those around me by continuing to live the standards that have been set. It can be difficult, but well worth it. I love playing piano, and I make myself available to play whenever it is needed.
