Hi I'm Jade Brielle

I'm a spaz. I love to make life interesting. I'm a writer and a baker. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love food. I am always cooking or baking something and I like to share my creations with everyone! I love seeing peoples reactions when they eat my cooking. Baking and cooking is therapeutic for me. Honestly I could get lost in the kitchen for hours. Especially when I find a new ingredient. New ingredients are like new toys to me. It's ridiculous! I am the oldest of 3 children and my family means everything to me. I honestly don't know what I would do with out them! Family is so important!! I grew up in a single parent home and I have the most amazing mother, I have been very blessed and spoiled to have her as my mom. I also love taking pictures and having my picture taken! Capturing the moment is so important and memories are simply the best! I am an avid journal writer and my journals are basically full of pictures because sometimes words just can't describe some things. I served a mission in the Alabama Birmingham Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know that that is what I am supposed to be and being Mormon makes me truly happy. I am a Mormon also because through the gospel of Jesus Christ I can reach my divine potential and I know who I am. I know where I am going. And I know where I came from. And in a world like ours that is truly a precious knowledge that I hold dear. I am a Mormon because this; the Gospel of Jesus Christ gives me a peace and joy that I know I cannot find anywhere else. It has helped me receive the knowledge that families can be forever, that I am not alone. It has given me peace of mind to know that no matter what I can be forgiven because God is a loving and forgiving God, and that He simply wants us. I am a Mormon because it just makes sense and everything that I have been taught and everything that I have learned and continue to learn speak to my soul so deeply that there is no way on earth that it can't be true. I know that God lives and so does his son Jesus Christ, and I know that they love me. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet, and that through him the gospel was restored. I know that the Book of Mormon is another Testament of Jesus Christ, and that it is a true book. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true and living prophet that leads and guides the church today. I know that my family can be together forever. I know that I am a Daughter of God. I know that I have a purpose and that Heavenly Father has a plan for me. And knowing this makes me truly happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing the gospel. Whether it is by example or actually sitting down and having a chat with someone. Or any other way that I possibly can! I serve the members in my ward by fulfilling my calling, and visiting teaching every month. I also love to bake people treats and doing service for them because no matter what service will always make you feel better! I live my faith by reading the scriptures, going to church, praying everyday, and loving everyone. In other words... I just do what I'm told and try to follow the example of Jesus Christ as much as I can. I love to sing. And when I do I always feel the Spirit. So I love to sing for others and help them to feel the Spirit as well because, "The song of the righteous is a prayer unto me..." (D&C 25:12) And by singing I am also developing talents that Heavenly Father has given me and I know that that pleases Him. I also live my faith by trying to be a good example to others and making sure that everyone is happy and loved. Because that is just what I do. And that is what Jesus would've done as well. I believe in second chances. If the Lord can forgive, so can I. Forgiveness has been a very large part in my life and something that I had to learn early in my life. Forgiveness is such an amazing thing and a wonderful gift that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ give to us daily! And a gift that is important to share daily.

Are Mormons Christians?

Jade Brielle
We believe in Jesus Christ and his ministry and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is based upon those teachings. "We, of course, accept Jesus Christ as our Leader, our King, our Savior...the dominant figure in the history of the world, the only perfect Man who ever walked the earth, the living Son of the living God. He is our Savior and our Redeemer through whose atoning sacrifice has come the opportunity of eternal life. Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints pray and worship in the name of Jesus Christ" (Gordon B. Hinckley, prior President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (1995-2008)). So yes, we are Christians. Show more Show less

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Jade Brielle
There are so many blessings that you can receive from reading the scriptures one of them is knowledge. Knowledge of God's plan for us, knowledge of our purpose here on earth. The knowledge of where we come from and where we are going. The knowledge on how we can change and become better people and to live righteously and we obtain the knowledge and confirmation that God loves us. We also receive the opportunity to grow closer to our Heavenly Father. This blessing is also a gift of knowledge. We learn in the scriptures how to be humble and how to follow Christ. As we read and study the scriptures we show our Heavenly Father that we are willing to change and we show our humility to Him. As we study the scriptures Heavenly Father will bless us with the opportunity to learn by the Spirit, and the Spirit of God testifies of truth. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Jade Brielle
We do not worship Joseph Smith. We are grateful to him for all that he did and all that he sacrificed. I think that the easiest way to put it is that, "We do not worship the messenger, but we open our hearts to the message." Show more Show less
