Hi I'm Kristen

I grew up in the Seattle area. I love sunsets and dandelions. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second of five children, and have always enjoyed caring for others. I work in Special Education and love it! Right now I in school preparing to be a special education teacher. I like taking long walks, even in the rain. I am a daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. My family is the most important thing in my life, and I look forward to one day creating my own family!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I want to be. Though my family has been Mormon for generations, and I was baptized at the traditional age of eight, being Mormon is the choice I have made. I can't imagine my life would be the same if I had not grown up in the Mormon church. Being a member of this church has led me to the best decisions I have ever made. I know that through thick and thin, my Heavenly Father is there for me to comfort and guide me. It is through Him and His son Jesus Christ that I have come out stronger through some very difficult times. I know that all experiences we endure in this life are meant to better us and to help us learn those things that our Heavenly Father has planned for us. As a daughter of my Heavenly Father I know that I have been placed on a specific and divine path to help me reach my full potential. I am thankful every day for the power of prayer and how that communication with my Heavenly Father keeps me going in the right direction!

How I live my faith

Almost my whole life, I have been an active participant in the Mormon church. When I was a youth, I served to help plan and lead activities for my peers. I have been a church choir director, a toddler teacher, and on committees to plan activities for single Mormons in my area. But this is all only PART of who I am. Every day I look for opportunities to make someone else's load a little lighter. It doesn't have to be anything major, but sometimes it's the simple smile or hug that changes a person forever.
