Hi I'm Clint

I am a Martial Arts Trainer & Success Coach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was a boy, I lacked a lot of self-confidence, and I found that church and taekwondo gave me the strengthening I needed to overcome that challenge. Now, I enjoy teaching martial arts to all ages, and having the opportunity to speak into others' lives and improve their focus and motivation for life's challenges. I enjoy cooking, playing jazz music on my saxophone, watching movies, and playing games with my family & friends. I am a greatly blessed husband to a beautiful wife, who shocks me everyday with how wonderful she is! I am also a father of a one-year-old boy. He and I love to wrestle!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. And I have always believed on some small level at least, that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true, and that it exists in its fulness in THIS church. Now, over years of experiences, I have come to know that this church is true. I guess I liken it to being cold, standing in the shade, then gradually stepping into the sunshine. As its light strikes each part of the body, you feel its warmth gradually come over your entire being. The first instance of this came when I was very young - probably around 7 or 8 years old. My brother was going to be leaving to serve as a missionary for the church. He was to be blessed that night by the local church leader before leaving for his 2 years of service to Argentina. I remember sitting in the family room and listening to the words of that blessing. As I sat, quietly, I felt an overwhelming burning in my heart that I cannot describe other than to say it was like a fire with no pain. I recognized that the burning I felt was the Holy Ghost, witnessing to my small heart that what my brother was about to do was very important to the Lord. I have felt that same burning time and time again, to varying degrees throughout my life; As I baptised others on my own mission years later; as I serve others now in my career and in my personal life; and as I kneel in daily prayer with my dear wife and son. But being Mormon is not just about the truth for me. I am a Mormon becuase it makes me happy. Becuase reading the Book of Mormon and the Bible makes me happy. Becuase praying with my family makes me happy. Becuase following the Savior makes me happy. I am a Mormon becuase I know when I do the things that I am asked to do as a member of this church, such as serve others and live righteously, I have a fulness of joy!

How I live my faith

I currently live my faith by using my job as a trainer and success coach to teach lessons the Savior taught: To love one another, to be kind, to be diligent and work hard. I have had many callings and assignments in church as well to live my faith. I most recently was in charge of teaching the young men in my region (in Mississippi) about missionary service. I also taught a weekly Sunday lesson to classes each week. Now, my wife and I have assignments to visit others in our congregation and minister to them.
