Hi I'm Joslyn

I'm a foodie, I love to dance, I love to throw parties, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, and a mother of two children. I got an English Secondary Education degree but I am currently a stay at home mom and I love it. I wouldn't give up the time that I have to spend with my children and teach them for anything. My family is my greatest joy. I try to do everything that I can to make their lives happy. I have a loving husband who is my best friend and equal. He helps me take care of our children and our house. My children adore him. We do lots of activities together as a family and read the scriptures and pray together every night. I have a passion for food and love to cook and try new foods. I love decorating my house. I am a huge Jane Austen fan and love classic literature and reading. I am not a huge movie fan but I do like to go to the theatre to watch plays and musicals. I love to throw parties. I get to do it a little less now that I have more children but it is my favorite hobby. I have thrown Halloween parties, birthday parties, and baby showers. I love dancing, growing up my family used to put on music and dance together to Madonna. I love wearing makeup and going shopping. I always try really hard to take care of myself and treat myself for all of my hard work as a mom.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy and because I know that it is true. Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings me great happiness and peace. As I have read the Book of Mormon and the Bible, the spirit of the Lord has testified to me that they are true. I have prayed many times to know that the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and the still small voice has whispered to my heart that they are. I know that I am a daughter of Heavenly Father and that He loves me and knows who I am. I know that no matter the mistakes that I make, He will always love me and want me to return to Him. I believe in Jesus Christ, I know that He suffered for my sins and I am grateful that He was willing to die for me.

How I live my faith

My family and I go to church every week and try to visit the temple regularly. Going to the temple helps me to feel peace in my sometimes hectic life, and allows me to renew promises that I have made to obey God's commandments. I am a Visiting Teacher and get to visit and teach women in my ward. I also serve on the relief society meeting committee. I get to help plan and put together all of the get togethers for the women.
