Hi I'm Samuel

I grew up in Bolivia and moved to U.S. when i was 15 years old, i currently live in N.H. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born in the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints but at one point of my life in my teenage years i really had to find out if this church was for me. thinking like a normal person the question about the Book of Mormon, and Joseph Smith came to my mind. In this point of my life i knew that no one could really show me facts to know if this was true, it was then that i understood the purpose of my life and how faith works. our heavenly father will reveal the truth to us according to our faith. as a teenager faith seemed something that only smart people could have but i know that my father in heaven loves me and that fact alone was enough for me to exercise my faith. prayer is the way that we can ask questions, but with out the desire to know, prayer and reading the scriptures becomes just something good to do. If we have a true desire to know prayer and scriptures will become the most important thing in our lives. as i prayer and read i did get an answer to my prayers and found out for my self if this church was the church of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am i a Mormon? is a question that every member of the church should know the answer to. In one way or another this question is asked of me pretty often. I'm a Mormon because i know that my father in heaven loves me, and that he has restored the fullness of the gospel here on earth once again. Before i knew for my self that this church was true i often asked my self this question. Why do i need to be a part of this church in order to follow Christ? The answer to this question is so easy but so hard to really accept. Christ being perfect all of his life with out sin was baptize to set an example for us. Christ not only set an example, but he was literally the example in every way. If we have faith in Christ, if our faith means not just believing in him but believing him as a son of our father in heaven, and follow his example. it would be like believing in electricity but not turning on the light bulbs. in this case turning on the light bulb would mean being baptize. i am a Mormon because i have faith in Christ and i know that he died for every single one of my sins. having this knowledge in my life is the reason why I'm a Mormon. I'm doing my best in trying to follow the example of Christ by being baptize in his Church and keeping the promises that i have made with him.

How I live my faith

well I am grateful to have the opportunity to excise my faith in the LDS church i know many cases in school and by asking friends how difficult is for them to make a difference in church/school. i have the opportunity to visit families around my area and share a message and offer service in case they need help. this is so important in the church because we all are a big family. i remember one time one of my uncles had a tire blow out in his way to new york he called us and we hurried to his aid, when we got there there were more the 5 cars next to his car. the bishop came to his aid and 3 other friends from church we were the last ones to get there. It felt like we were all brothers and sister, which in reality we are. We all are sons and daughters of our heavenly father. This truth about our brothers and sisters creates a bond between everyone that believes that god is our heavenly father. I am a witness that church is where people act on what the believe to be true. I have faith in Jesus Christ, because i have this faith i live my life this way. By trying to follow the example of Jesus Christ and how he served, gave, and never ask for something in return, I am living by faith.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Samuel
The purpose of life is very simple to me. we all have agency and we have to make the best of this life. The only way we can do that is if we hold on to something that will never change because the world is always changing. The gospel of Jesus Christ will never change, which makes the purpose of life a lot easier we can learn to be happy by holding on to the gospel of Jesus Christ which is found in the LDS. Church.
