Hi I'm Cameron

I love creating music, I enjoy making others happy, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well I think a suitable place to start is that I love making music. When I was ten years old I learned how to play guitar and ever since then it has been one of my greatest joys. I learn music by ear ( I believe reading notes takes away creativity.) and I play several other instruments such as the piano, bass guitar, drums, and a little bit of violin. Im currently preparing to serve a two year mission. I wasnt always the best person. I had many problems that prevented me from choosing the right and being qualified to receive many blessings that are crucial to ones happiness. I am now the only member in my family, and my parents do not support my religion and ambition to serve a mission so Im living with a friend until I leave. Im so in love with this gospel. its completely changed me into a man who wants to serve others and his church before anything else. without this gospel, I fear I would be in a horrible place that I couldnt escape. I enjoy meeting new people and converts as well so if youd like to write me, Id be more then happy to talk with you!!

Why I am a Mormon

why Im a mormon? goodness... I guess my conversion story would best explain why I am who I am today!! I was at a point in my life where depression was an everyday thing. My mom cheated on my dad and left him and my four sisters alone with no explanation. I was angry with myself. with my dad. with my peers. it was hard to deal with the pain so I resulted to going to parties and hanging with the wrong crowd. one night, I said to myself " Why am I even on this earth?" I felt horrible without a purpose and unloved. one night the elders came over. Looking for a man named David. they had got the wrong house, but not the wrong person. after talking for half an hour or so, they asked if id be interested in the lessons. I immediately said yes... this was strange, for I usually took a long time to give a straight answer to the missionaries. the next day, the elders challenged me to read the first ch. in Nephi, and to pray with full heart if it was true. I prayed diligently for fifteen minutes or so. I was ready to read. after twenty minutes of reading. I prayed again for thirty minutes. when I opened my eyes. My room was brighter than Ive ever seen it and the spirit felt as if it were expanding my heart. I started shaking and tears came to my eyes. I kissed my Book of Mormon and knew that very same night that it was true. I was baptized a month later on December 4, 2010.

How I live my faith

today, I do as much as I can for my ward since the ward missionary fund is providing me to leave for two years. I voluntarily visit elderly people and ask them how I can help in any way. I attend institute and mission prep every Wednesdays and Sundays. I read my scriptures faithfully and willingly, I use my talents to serve my heavenly father, I obey the law of consecration. I often find myself hanging out with the elders and going to lessons with them. they have become my best friends and greatest examples. Im very excited to serve my mission, and that alone strengthens my faith. knowing that heavenly father wants me to go.
