Hi I'm Mackenzie
I am a teenager living in Orange County, California that loves going on new adventures and loves to sing. I am a Mormon.
I am a senior in high school living in Southern California. My days consist of the beach, working, and making music. I am in a band with all high school students. I play the bass guitar and sing. Our band's inspirations are Walk the Moon and any 70's rock. At school I have all non-member friends. I absolutely love it. Everyday I am able to share my beliefs simply by living the gospel. Being able to stand out in a positive way makes me feel true joy, which is my ultimate goal in life. I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
I choose to be a Mormon because I have free agency. I know what is right and wrong in life, and with that guidance I am able to choose which direction I want my life to go. I constantly think about the millions of other people who do not have the ability to know what is to come. Being Mormon helps me to have an eternal goal. I will be able to worthily go to the temple when the time comes, and I want other people to be able to feel that same joy. I know that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father love me, they love everyone. They want what is best for us, and that is what helps me choose good over evil. The joy I feel when I read the scriptures, pray, and go to church is unbelievable. I want to be able to let everyone feel this same way, and not feel "tied-down" by the standards our church has set for us. Not always do I enjoy and believe the standards are helpful for us, but I know that in the end, they are to help us. The Lord doesn't need to set standards for himself, he sets them for us to return to live with Him. I love being a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
I live my faith by following the standards the Prophet has set for the youth. It isn't always the easiest thing to do, and it definitely is not the most popular thing but the blessings are wonderful. I share the gospel with my friends by being an example and follower of Christ. What I want most is for my friends to understand why I have chosen to live my life the way I have, and I can only hope they see how happy it makes me. One of the most important things in my life recently has been music, and being able to participate in multiple religious choirs helps me and others to feel the spirit.
