Hi I'm Melissa

I love to learn and now I am a teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up with parents eager to explore and learn about the world around us. This additude is adicting and I too found myself loving to learn and explore. This love of learning helped me to choose my profession, teaching.

Why I am a Mormon

From my parents example to study something out and pray about it, I learned that I believed in the Book of Mormon and the associated church. I love the wonderful feeling I have as I serve at church and through assignments, but more importantly when I am alone the love and strenght that I feel.

How I live my faith

I use my love of goodness to share my beliefs with others. I am always looking for ways to serve others, which opens doors for sharing my beliefs. I really enjoy sharing my love of life with youth in the area and at church.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Melissa
As a Mormon woman I feel pretty normal. I have sorrows, hopes, dreams and faith. I was raised by two wonderful parents and my mother showed me that I could do anything. She and the other women in my ward helped to nurture and care for me, they weren't the only ones looking out for the youngsters in our neighborhood the fathers were too. I have been taught by many men and women about how through faith in God and with prayer we can live lives of purpose and make a difference for good. Men and women are different and there is no where else that I have found, where those differences are used as strengths then as in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It is wonderful to watch and help prepare activities and lessons and see both men and women labor together to make everything work well. They know that together building on each other's strengths we can do much better then trying to figure out who is better than the other. Show more Show less
