Hi I'm Kathryn

I am a mother of a one-year-old. I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of a one-year-old boy. I find great joy in music through both dance and song. I am striving to be a good mother and wife and to live up to my potential as a daughter of God.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was little I was taught the saving principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but it wasn't until I was about twelve years old that I truly understood. One Sunday my sunday school teacher challanged our class to pray to know if our Heavenly Father was real. I took the challange very seriously and that night I got down on my knees, next to my bed, and prayed that I might know if God were really there and if he truly knew me. I finished my prayer and raised my eyes. On the wall opposite me was a picture of Christ (my mother made sure to have one in every room) and as I looked at that picture an overwhelming feeling of warmth and love washed over me and I knew, without a doubt, that my Father in Heaven knew me personally and loved me with an intensity that cannot be described. Since that day I have prayed about many other principles of the Gospel and every time I do I feel the Holy Ghost bear witness to me that this gospel is true.

How I live my faith

In my life I strive to live my faith by attending church meetings and keeping the commandments, but more importantly I strive to emulate the truths that I have learned to my son. We read scriptures together and pray together as a family so that my son will be able to follow my example and learn of Christ. I try to be the kind of mother that God wants me to be.
