Hi I'm Meagan

I'm an Arizona native and a wife and mother of 3 wild little children. I love park days, family and good books. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I think I'm your typical suburban mom. I have three beautiful small children who keep me busy most of the day. I love to read, cook, sew, surf around Pinterest, blogs and Facebook, and find all the ways possible to enjoy my life today. I grew up in a small town in northern Arizona. I met my husband in high school and we were married shortly after he returned from serving a mission in Argentina. I have a bachelors degree in business marketing and currently work part-time teaching piano lessons out of my home. I love the opportunity I have to work from home and stay close to my family. I currently serve as a Relief Society (women's organization at church) teacher. I love the opportunity to learn and study more as I share lessons with the women I love!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in to an LDS family. So being a Mormon was always part of who I was. I don't think I ever questioned the church to the point where I wanted to choose whether or not to be a member, but I did question it enough that I felt the desire to know for myself if was true. My testimony of the church was built slowly. It started as a child from the peaceful feelings I felt as I attended primary. It grew as I grew and began to understand the doctrine and to exercise prayer and study so that I would know for myself if the things I was learning were true. My testimony of Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon came to me most strongly after I graduated from high school and spent a semester studying more of the history of the church. I found that the more I read and understood about the prophet and his role in bringing about the Book of Mormon the more my understanding grew. I felt more able to feel the Spirit with me because I was making an effort to attend church and study on my own throughout the week so that I can learn the things my heart was aching to learn. I'm still a Mormon today because I know with every fiber of my being that it is the true church and has been restored for us today. I feel constant confirmations as I struggle through the trails in my life and see the trials of others. The Lord is always with me reminding me that life is good and I can feel of his love as I pattern my lifestyle in a way that is pleasing to him. I feel peace, understanding, love, and happiness when I am following the gospel. Because of that I am willing to make whatever sacrifices necessary to follow what the Lord asks me to do.

How I live my faith

As I mentioned before, I serve in the church as a teacher for our women's group call the Relief Society. I have the opportunity every week to teach a lesson about a different gospel topic as outlined from one of our prophets. I get to share scriptures and my own experiences and understanding of the gospel. Taking the opportunity to teach has been such a blessing in my life because I am able to study more deeply and feel the spirit in my home and at church as I share my testimony with the other women and feel it grow within my own heart. I feel like every time I teach I am uplifted and changed because of the greater understanding that comes from learning and studying.
