Hi I'm Abbi

I was born and raised in Indiana but hope to see the whole world. I love to laugh, read, sing, dance, eat and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love to do so many things. If there is anything that defines me, it's that I love to do so many things. I love to sing to the top of my lungs, have fun with my friends, be a nerd(I'm in love with Harry Potter), jump hurdles in track, eat absolutely everything, and just have the best possible time wherever I'm at. I love to try new things and see the world from every perspective.

Why I am a Mormon

My whole life I did not believe there was anything. No God, no heaven or hell, just this life here on Earth. There came a point in my life where I wondered what was to religion. Why did so many people believe in something they could not see? I began to research different religions and went to many different churches and even began to read the bible, just trying to figure out what was out there. I had friends from all over the religious spectrum with all different backgrounds and personal beliefs. I would talk to them and ask them their thoughts. I can't even count the number of people I would just ask, "Do you believe in God?" or, "Do you believe we all go to Heaven after we die?" I started going to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I immediately noticed a difference in the people going to that church compared to the others. They truly believed in what they said and didn't go to church simply to say they went. They went to be spirtually lifted and to learn. I loved it. Even if in the beginning I didn't beleive what they did, I loved the people. They were always so welcoming. They didn;t care I was some random atheist girl just coming with a friend. One day I actually prayed. Just prayed to know what was out there if anything. It felt...nice. Just calming. I began to go to that church more frequently and went to an early morning class with the other high school students, called seminary, to study the old testament. About 6 months after my real "quest" began, I just had this strong desire to know what to belive in. I literally felt like I couldn't go one more day without knowing what to believe. So I prayed the most serious, heartfelt, and fervent prayer I ever had and the next morning I woke up with a new feeling towards this church. I just felt this calm beleif that this was where I was supposed to be. I knew the church was true. Knew it with absolutely no doubts.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in simple ways. I try to be kind to others and help whenever I can. I love listening to hymns and singing them. I go to church every Sunday, seminary every morning, and youth group on Wednesdays. I think the very best way to live my faith, is to honestly try and live the way Jesus Christ and God would want me to. By trying to do what they would do in my shoes. i don;t always succeed but know they love me as long as I;m trying my best:)
