Hi I'm Hannah Wooten

"And verily i say unto thee that thou shalt lay aside the things of this world , and seek for the things of a better."

About Me

My name is Hannah Wooten, I was born into the Douglas 2nd ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was baptized when I was eight years old, like most people and I have had my ups and downs in the gospel, but for the rest of my life I am going to strive to live the gospel to the best of my ability. In the past year I have completed my Personal Progress, recieved my patriarchal blessing, and read the entire Book of Mormon. The gospel is eveything in my life. I love the Lord Jesus Christ more than any other person in the world. I know that Heavenly Father lives and I know that he hears and answers my prayers. I also know that Thomas S. Monson is our beloved prophet. I can't wait until the day that I meet my eternal companion, and we are married in The House of the Lord. I hope someday to be a wife and a mother, I want to be able to provide a haven for my children from the evils of this world. I can't imagine myself not being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church, my family pretty much made up the first members of the Douglas ward and the ward is still full of family. I have had nothing but church my entire life, but one day I had to know for myself if it was all true. I had heard that it was true for years and everyone seemed to believe that the church was true; but one day I just had to know for myself. I had lived off of my parents testimony for so long and it was time that I grew up. So I started to read the scriptures and really study them, plus more frequent prayers to my Heavenly Father. After finishing the Book of Mormon one day, I decided to do what it said and ask if the things that I had read were true; not just if the Book of Mormon was true, but the gospel in general. So I asked my Heavenly Father sincerely if this was all really true and I felt impressed to open my scriptures to Doctrine and Covenants 35. I encourage you to read this chapter, this experience blessed my life and helped me to finally receive my own testimony.
