Hi I'm Michael Chamberlain

I'm a business student. I love politics. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah and lived in the same house my whole life. The summer before my Senior year of high school, I served as a Page in the United States Senate. After high school I graduated from college with an associates degree. I am taking two years off of school right now, to serve a mission for the church in Chile. I love politics, music, business, and architecture. I plan on continuing school to get my MBA. I love this gospel and the scriptures. More than anything, I love my family and would do anything for them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is the true church of Christ. This is the church that God gave to Adam and the biblical prophets. It is the same church Jesus Christ established during his Earthly ministry. There was a need for a restoration of the gospel. God did reveal it through his prophet Joseph Smith. The Book of Mormon contains the fullness of the Gospel and is needed so that we know how to return to our father in heaven. I love being a Mormon. I love the heritage, people, and community.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by doing my best to live the commandments of God. I hope that I can be example to others by living my faith. I know how much joy it can bring to each of us. I know that I can be with my family forever, if I am faithful. The biggest leap of faith for me has been my decision to serve a mission. I didn't know for certain what it was going to be like, but so far it has been a growing experience that I needed in my life. I am grateful I get to serve the Lord for two years.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Michael Chamberlain
The Book of Mormon was written by ancient prophets living on the American continent. It was not written, but translated by Joseph Smith. It gives an account of a family leaving Jerusalem for the Americas. The rest of the Book of Mormon is the history of their descendants. It also contains the history of the Jaredites. They were also directed to the Americas by God. Most importantly, it is a testimony of Jesus Christ. It contains the record of when Jesus Christ visited the American continent after his death and resurrection. Show more Show less

Who are the Mormons?

Michael Chamberlain
Mormons are Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It comes from our belief in The Book of Mormon. Mormons also believe in the Bible. We believe that we belong to the same church Jesus started during his earthly ministry. The complete gospel was restored to the earth through Joseph Smith. He was given the authority by God and Christ themselves. Show more Show less

What is the First Vision?

Michael Chamberlain
The first vision is the story of when Joseph Smith prayed to know which church to join. In answer to his prayer he received a vision. He was visted by Heavenly Father and jesus Christ. They told him that he shouldn't join any of the existing churches. They then directed him that they would restore the true church of Jesus Christ through him. Show more Show less
