Hi I'm Katie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom to 2 beautiful girls, ages 3 and 5 months. My husband works from home so we all spend A LOT of time together! Before being a mom, I studied Environmental Studies at Florida State University and I worked as an Environmental Scientist. I also was a certified teaching pro in tennis, teaching kids ages 3-12. I still play occasionally, but I spend most of my time chasing after my VERY active 3 year old and training for my first marathon in November. Exercise is very important to me, as is staying active and healthy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I feel the truthfulness of the Gospel in my heart. I was raised Catholic and joined the LDS church when I was 19, in my first year of college. Being LDS has helped me through many hard times and guided my life in the right direction. Without the Gospel, I am not sure I would be where I am today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching my children to follow the Savior's example. Going to church weekly is very important to me and my family and it helps us get through the coming week. I organize meetings and activities for the women of our church, and by doing that, I feel closer to women that I normally wouldn't see. At these activities, all ages and cultures come together and we learn about each other and how to help others. It has helped me to branch out and appreciate women in all stages of life.
