Hi I'm Nancy

I love chocolate, traveling and the Discovery Channel. I'm a stay home mom of 4 in California, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up playing all kinds of sports and being very active. I was the youngest of 6 and loved every minute of it. I graduated from college in Chemical Engineering (that's why I love math and science), and worked for a couple years after graduating. Then our first son was born and I have been a stay home mom ever since. I am now wife to an amazing husband and mother to 4 beautiful children that I am lucky enough to be with full time. In all my spare time, which is never, I still enjoy cooking, baking, learning, and planning fun trips for our family to go see the beauty of the world God created for us.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy and gives me purpose in life. It's so easy to get bogged down in my day to day activities, but when I can go to church each Sunday and learn more about God's plan for me, it gives me perspective. It makes me a better mom, wife and person. It makes me want to get out of myself and serve others. It makes me grateful for my family and grateful for the knowledge that I can be with them forever, not just until death separates us. God's plan is perfect and beautiful and I'm so grateful for my knowledge of it.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by raising my kids to be good people. I try to teach them what is right and wrong and help them make good choices. Good choices are not always easy choices. I also teach the women in my ward and prepare lessons to help them become better as well. As I strive to keep the spirit of God in my life, I can use his influence to guide my actions to help and serve others that need help.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Nancy
As a Mormon woman, I can tell you that we are treated with the upmost respect and dignity. There is so much value put upon womanhood and motherhood in the church. I know that I am a daughter of God and that He loves me. I am of infinite worth. The church not only teaches this, but puts it into practice in all it does. Show more Show less
