Hi I'm DJ Ransom

I'm from Utah. I'm currently majoring in Computer Science. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the great state of Utah. My family moved around quite a bit during my younger years but finally settled in Central Utah about the time I turned eight. My dad is a golf course superintendent and I grew up playing a lot of golf. I love the game. I am currently studying Computer Science with an emphasis in Software Development.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon faith to faithful parents. For as long as I can remember I have been taught about Jesus Christ and His wonderful teachings. My parents and Sunday School teachers taught me stories about Him from both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. As I grew older I at times questioned if I really believed what I had been taught all my life. Through diligent scripture study and prayer I came to realize that I do. As I read from the holy scriptures I feel at peace and closer to my Savior. Through His Gospel I have been taught what my purpose in this life is, where I came from before this life and where I am going after it. Through His Gospel, the Savior promises me eternal life with Him and with my family. I know that this is the Lord's church. This knowledge burns within me. Without it, I would be lost in a world of confusion. Through the Book of Mormon, the Lord has answered many questions of the soul, such as "Is there a God?", "What does Jesus Christ expect of me?", "Does God know me?", "Does God answer prayers?", among many others. I know that Jesus Christ restored His church through a modern prophet, Joseph Smith and that he continues to communicate to us through modern prophets today. My testimony means everything to me, it is what keeps me going in a world full of confusion, hate, and sin.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to obey the Lord as best I can. This includes accepting callings and responsibilities that He gives me. I served my Savior as a full time missionary in the beautiful country of Uruguay. My service there included sharing the restored gospel with others and serving others as best I could. I currently am a home teacher. Once a month, I visit a few families with another member of the ward in order to see how they are doing, how we might help them and to share a message about Jesus Christ.
