Hi I'm Jes Lundberg

I'm a Mormon. I was born in a small town in Utah but grew up in North Carolina. I live out west again working in manufacturing.

About Me

I was born in a small town but as I grew up my family and I moved around a lot. This way of growing up created a lot of charater building challenges. I will say that the foundation that kept life happy was having a family. I have 5 sisters and 2 brothers that were extremely important to me growing up. After high school I went on a religous mission to Honduras then came home and attended college. While at college I meet a wonderful girl with whom I have been married for 8 years now. We have 3 kids of our own that are the most wonderful part of our life.

Why I am a Mormon

Since before I was born my family has been attending the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In fact I am a 5th generation member of the church. However I can say with total and complete confidence that I do not consider myself a member of tradition. I believe that in our lives we all have to choose a path. Often times we have to make big important decisions on where we are going but just as important it is the day to day small decisions that lead us to our final goals. I am a Mormon because day to day I find myself wanting to draw closer to my Heavenly Father. I rely on faith in God to help me make the right decisions. Also Heavenly Father has given us many helps to draw us closer to him. These include hope, prayer, scriptures, and our own build in sense of right. With these we can come to know what is the truth. With these I have come to know the truth.

How I live my faith

My faith begins with me. I am not perfect, but I hope that I am working towards refining myself to be more like our Savior. Next is my family. My wife and I have small kids that are extremely interested in learning. We read with them and teach them the gospel, but also we give them our time for the everyday things. We try very hard to spend most nights together, however we always dedicate one night a week as a family night. Also I serve in the church. Rightnow I was asked to teach a class during our Sunday meetings. Also I have a few family's that I visit with a partner. We stop by about once a month to find out if there is anything we can help them with or just bring a happy message. I also support my wife. She works with a youth group and is gone one night a week for a few ours. We find great joy in helping others. We have gotten to know wonderful people through our service and hope that we will have lots of more opportunites to do good.
