Hi I'm Kestra Hart

I am a loving young woman. I am a proud musician and theater lover. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Kestra. I play the piano, the flute, the oboe/English Horn. I'm teaching myself to play the guitar. I sing. I act. I love to write stories. I love to tell stories. I'm going to college. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon. I love it. I try my best to live it. I am a Mormon and I know it!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. I was born and raised in the Gospel. There were times, as there usually is with everyone, where I questioned the Gospel. Freshman year of High School, in Seminary (which is a Church Scripture Study for the Youth) we were studying the Book of Mormon. My teachers challenged the class to read the entire Book of Mormon before the end of the school year. I took this challenge with an open mind. It was a hard year, but I finished it! In the end of the book, in the Book of Moroni, we are asked to kneel down in prayer and ask if the words in the book are true. I did. It was hard, what with all the challenges, but I got my answer, almost immediately (whichI wasn't expecting), I knew this church was true. My doubts make me question my faith sometimes, but my testimony never fails to stand strong. As we were told in October 2013 General Conference "Doubt your Doubts before you doubt your faith!"

How I live my faith

I've participated in church productions/pageants. I try to share my talents to uplift others spirits and sometimes they ask about what inspires me and I'll respond with some things, but I try to always remember to add Jesus Christ and the gospel to my list. I know I'm not perfect, and I sometimes forget to add them, but I try. I try to show my faith just by helping others and being a "Light to the World." Following my Savior's footsteps.

Are Mormons Christians?

Kestra Hart
Mormons are Christians. Being Christian means to believe in Jesus Christ. We fully believe in Him! He is the center of our church and He heads the church, not the prophet. The prophet is basically a bridge between him and Jesus Christ. He is our Savior. The church's actual name is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. His name is in our name, therefore we believe in Jesus Christ. Therefore, we are Christians. Show more Show less
