Hi I'm Brian

My wife and I have 9 wonderful kids and 19 grandkids. Our sons served missons and three daughters did also. We are very blessed.

About Me

We have a great family. Family is where the greatest joys can be achieved, watching them grow and enjoying activities with them. Our daughters served missions to France, Tahiti and Brazil. Our sons served missions to Guatemala, Oklahoma, Chile, California and Milwaukee (Hmong). I feel it is very important to share our beliefs with those we love, and consequently we love a lot of people as all of us are sons and daughters of a loving Father in Heaven. I love most sports and have played many over the years. My favorite to play is volleyball. I enjoy playing racquetball and golf. I work in financial management. I enjoy doing things with family and friends. Whom you are doing things with is more important than what you are doing. We enjoy wholesome activities.

Why I am a Mormon

As we progress through life we have many opportunities to choose who we will be and how we will be. The gospel of Jesus Christ teaches us the basics of how to be a good citizen of all countries. I feel that good choices lead to good character and the Atonement of Jesus Christ allows us the privilege to repent of our sins and to come unto Him. A Christlike life is the goal I strive towards, but I am still human and have many areas for improvement. My children and I obviously love the gospel and have given service to share it. It is a way of life with us and it helps us to have a better quality life because we are not hampered with habits that bind us to addictions of any sort. The gospel is so liberating. We can live clean, beautiful lives full of joy that we can share with each other. Hopefully, our examples can inspire others to live more Christlike.

How I live my faith

Since I feel so strongly about the teachings of Christ, it is important for me to participate in Church activities. I have the privilege of visiting the homes of assigned members to ensure they are doing well and to strive to uplift them with messages from our Prophet. Yes, we do have a living prophet who directs the Church under the guidance of Jesus Christ. As in ancient times, so it is in modern times. The Bible includes messages from many ancient prophets and we have one right now who reveals to us, and the whole world, the will of God. We just have to listen, and we have the responsibility to verify it through our own prayers and guidance from the Holy Spirit. We do not have to rely on men to know the things of God. I have raised my children in the gospel and they are doing likewise. The family unit is an eternal principle with God. In the afterlife we will all be adults, eventually, and the most important aspect of that is that you have an eternal companion. Marriage is ordained of God and has been from the beginning. So, with my eternal companion, we will have family associations even as we do now. That is why I am so glad that we, as a family, are united in our efforts to return to live with the Father and Son. It is not easy, but it is worth it. In order for the family units to be eternal there has to be a sealing power from God, even His Holy Priesthood. The authority to seal in heaven and on earth was given to ancient prophets and through the living prophets we have that privilege today. That is why we do temple work for our ancestors, to give them the same opportunities we enjoy. They must accept the gospel and the ordinances, otherwise it will be of no value to them. Agency is the divine gift from heaven and is paramount in all we do. Jesus used His agency to give us the ultimate gift of the Atonement and Eternal Life, without which nothing would be of value here upon the earth.
