Hi I'm Ricky

I am an athlete, scholar, and UNC fan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Arizona but my family moved to North Carolina when I was five. I love to play football, basketball, and just about any other sport you can imagine. I am a huge University of North Carolina fan! Right now I am studying dietetics at Brigham Young University and I love it! I am the second of four children born to Cedric and Melanie. My siblings and I are best friends.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both Mormons so I have gone the church since before I was old enough to remember. However, I do remember how I felt as a young child singing songs and learning about Heavenly Father and Jesus. As I grew older, I began to realized that I had to make my own decisions in life. I decided to find out for myself if the Mormon church was true and right for me. As i studied, prayed, and read the Book of Mormon, I felt happy. I felt like this church is where I am suppose to be. Heavenly Father answered my questions and prayers. And that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Right now I am a missionary in my congregation. I make visits to people in the congregation to see how they are doing and if they need anything. I also look for any opportunity to share my beliefs with others such as friends and family. I also really enjoy volunteering in my community at nursing homes and youth groups.
