Hi I'm Mike Rees

I'm married with a little girl and am studying to be a dentist. I enjoy anything in the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah with the Wasatch mountains in my backyard. It was there that I was able to take advantage of the great biking, hiking, and skiing in the outdoors. Since I returned from my mission to Puerto Rico, I have opened my eyes to the great places the world has to offer. I've been able to travel and see many things and hope to continue my travels with my wife and young daughter. Currently, I'm in dental school and look forward to the opportunities that dentistry brings.

Why I am a Mormon

I've learned the importance of having perspective in life and staying focused on what is really important. True happiness isn't fleeting and is intimately tied to living right and being a good person. The gospel teaches all the principles needed to find joy in life and develop worthwhile attributes. Most of the teachings focus on the family and almost everyone can agree on the importance of families. With a young daughter, I want nothing more than to teach her good principles so that she can avoid troubles in her life and learn to be a responsible, trustworthy person. The Church helps and guides me in my endeavors so that I can accomplish all these goals and further my relationship with God.

How I live my faith

I've had the opportunity to oversee the development of the young men in our area by encouraging them to stay out of trouble and live a well rounded life. We help the boys participate in Scouts, encourage them to exercise, push them to develop leadership skills, and help with their spiritual development. I've enjoyed spending time with them and learning from them.
