Hi I'm Sara Nicole

I'm striving to be a world traveler, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student who loves life. Every day I'm striving to find new ways to build my education and serve those around me. I love to play volleyball, and I enjoy being active. Music is a large part of my life and one of my favorite activities is to play my viola. I find joy in playing beautiful music for others to hear. I also have a great passion for the outdoors. Whenever given the opportunity, you can find me backpacking, drive off-roads, camping, and most of all white-water rafting. I have a dream to travel the world. I want to discover new cultures and learn from and serve people from all kinds of backgrounds. I'm always looking for new ways to serve others every day. I'm blessed to be a part of a family whom I love and who loves me in return. My family is my support and a huge blessing in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, meaning that I was born to two parents who are members of this church. I've always had the gospel in my life. As I grew up, I leaned on my parents' testimonies instead of finding my own. When I got into high school, I decided that I needed to know if this church really was true. I couldn't lean on my parents forever. I read the Book of Mormon all the way through and took the challenge in Moroni 10:3-5. I prayed and asked to know for myself. I received a witness from the Holy Ghost. I felt peace and a burning feeling in my heart, confirming to me that this is the true church. Though I took the gospel for granted before, I know now with a surety because I have received a witness that God does live. Every day I'm blessed to feel God near me, though sometimes it's hard to keep Him close. I am still human and I still make mistakes, but I know that God is merciful and I can repent and make up for my sins. I know without a doubt that Jesus Christ died on the cross and was resurrected for the sins of the world. I know that He died for me specifically. I know that He knows my name and knows me personally. God is always ready to help me and give me guidance in my life. This gospel has tremendously affected my life for the better and I am eternally grateful for all that my Savior Jesus Christ has done for me.

How I live my faith

As a member of the church, I do my best to serve faithfully in my church callings. Though my calling as a music director may be small compared to other callings, I still do everything I can to bring the Spirit into the meetings each week. I live my life according to the standards of the church and the commandments of God. I strive each day to show those around me that I am a daughter of God by living my life in a way that Christ would live His.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Sara Nicole
A testimony is an individual's personal witness given to them by the Holy Ghost. It is a witness that God, our Heavenly Father, and His Son Jesus Christ do live. It is a witness that each and every one of us is a child of God and that He knows us individually. It is a witness that Christ did die on the cross for ours sins and was resurrected. It is a witness that there is a living prophet today who guides us and gives us counsel from God. It is a witness that this church is true and the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ.
