Hi I'm Steve

I was born in Utah, but live in Virginia. My father served in the Army, so I am an Army brat and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 60 years old, a husband to one wonderful woman, a Father of three children, and Grandfather to five, soon to be six. I have been self-employed in the Flooring business, owning the Flooring America franchises here in Richmond, for 33 years. I love the outdoors, spending spare time in the yard and garden, I grow orchids, and occasionally hunting and fishing take some of my time. I also enjoy the occasional computer game. I like to read.

Why I am a Mormon

The Holy Ghost has witnessed to me of the truthfulness of the gospel, and the Book of Mormon. He has also witnessed to me that Joseph Smith was and is a Prophet, and that we have a living prophet today. I have lived the religion and it has brought me happiness and joy. The fruits have been good. I have a wonderful family of people I can associate with on Sunday's and during the week, where I can offer service, which brings me happiness, and be served as I need it also. I can pay tithing and be blessed by the Lord for being obedient. I have the wise counsel and guidance of men and women who lead this church to help me in my everyday life.

How I live my faith

I try to do what is needful and necessary to grow in the gospel, it being a journey (living life) towards a destination (living with God). I have served in leadership positions, I have served on Scout Committees, I have served as a teacher, to young children, to new converts, to youth and to the mature and elderly.
