Hi I'm Marisa

I love to develop friendships with everyone I meet. I'm benevolent and dedicated. I'm goofy all the time. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I've got a large and warm family who encourage laughter. As a result I'm comfortable in any crowd. I love to write and tell my stories. I enjoyed living in Washington my whole life. Recently my family moved to Utah and it's been a faith building experience. I know that challenges never end but can be overcome with the help of good people and good faith! I love to paint and zone out while creating what few might call "art". Although I've never been a MVP, I'll gladly join any game and have a great time being active! I have many goals and dreams of the future that all seem to be quickly approaching. I know with the guidance of the Holy Ghost anyone can take on all challenges.

Why I am a Mormon

When I think of what it means to be Christian, I smile:) Because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. It teaches us to be as Christ is; positive, patient, honest, and true. Of course he GAVE his life on this earth so that you and I could smile and know that everything is going to be alright as we try our best and seek Him. While the world is so chaotic and complex I find rest every Sunday at church and in my home. This gives me peace to get through each trial-filled week. I'm a Mormon because I want to surround myself with standards, teachings, family, and friends that are Christ like. I'm a Mormon because of the simplicity of the commandments and teachings of Christ and his prophets. I'm a Mormon because The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints' teachings are founded upon basic principles taught by Christ. I'm a Mormon because Christ is unchanging and I need his consistency in order to live happily forever.

How I live my faith

Being a youth does not limit the ability I have to serve and teach! We are all important in this world and everyone has the opportunity to be a leader. I lead by giving service. Service can be an encouraging hug, or waving hello to someone in the hall. It is through the small daily acts of kindness that I find good qualities in myself. I live by sharing the gospel through my actions as a disciple of Christ. We can all receive inspiration on how to fellowship others. This is important to me because I know we cannot handle trials on our own. I know that I was sent to this earth to spread the goodness of the gospel by serving a mission and eventually raising a family.
