Hi I'm Genevieve

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an currently an undergraduate student earning my bachelors in science in human nutrition but will soon be applying to pharmacy schools in the near future. I can't wait to be both a mother and a pharmacist one day. I have been married to my best friend for almost 2 years now and I couldn't be happier. Our life together is starting to fall into place and I can't wait to see what the lord has in store for us next. I don't really have any hobbies besides school and working as a pharmacy tech at a local grocery store pharmacy but I did thoroughly enjoyed performing. I danced for 13 years and even participated in 5 school plays. I also participated in choir for a majority of my schooling career. Once college hit I put down my dancing shoes and hit the books. Even though I miss performing very much I absolutely love learning. I can't wait ti use what I have learned to help my future family as well as those around me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Even though I was raised in the church I, like everyone else, had to form a testimony of my own instead of relying on my parents testimonies. I can't tell you when I knew that the church was true because there was never really one set day or experience when I knew. What I can tell you is by living what I was taught I was happy and I could feel the Lords presence in my life. There have been many times when I am listening to speakers or teachers at church or the leaders of the church speak that my whole body feels as if it is on fire. The lessons taught resonate in my soul as the holy ghost testifies of the truthfulness of the gospel. The first thing that came to my mind as to Why I am a Mormon was an experience that I had as a primary teacher where I taught the 10 year old children about the gospel. My husband and I were team teachers and it was our last day as their primary teacher as we were moving to a new city. I was bearing my testimony about eternal life. I got the feeling that they didn't fully understand what eternal life was. I asked them what eternal life meant the them and got blank stares as my answer. I then explained to them that eternal life meant returning home to our heavenly father and following in his footsteps to become like him and that in order to make it we had to be clean and perfect. One of the children looked sad and said "well I am not going to make it. I am not perfect" I then told him that that is why the atonement was so important. Christ had already paid the price for our sins and has made it possible for us to return home because he makes up the difference of our short coming if we let him. His face lit up and he hugged himself saying "I can feel the spirit right now" This is just one of the instances where the spirit spoke to my heart and mind and it is because of those experiences that I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by setting an example for those around me. Also I serve the lord by serving the youth specifically the young women (12-18). I also live my faith by following His commandments and finding ways to improve my relationship with my father in heaven. I love Him so much and I can't wait till I am home and in his arms again.
