Hi I'm Dutch Barclay

I love music. I love to dance. I love to hang out with friends. I play all kinds of sports. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was in high school I played football and ran track. I also loved to dance and sing in the choir programs that they had. I love to dance especially! Not only is it fun but it can be an amazing work out. I love to write songs that can be funny or even cheesy. Yes, I can be a hopeless romantic sometimes. When I was about 9 or 10 years old my parents divorced. My dad left and I thought I would never see him again. It was hard, me being a "Daddy's boy" and my brother being a "momma's boy." He told me he wanted my brother and I to stay close together so that we can always have each other. I am seeing why that is now. My dad came back and started to take care of us after our mom had been in an accident and put into a coma. My brother and I were baptized. My dad remarried and now I have 3 more little brothers. My mom recovered and now is married to a great guy. My Dad, step mom ( mom ), my younger brothers and I live in warm place and it is wonderful! I love to work out so that I'm not so lazy, and like I said I love to dance! especially to the modern music that they have. Yeah it's pretty cool. I love skim boarding and being able to glide across the beach so smoothly! I love the ocean and I love being in the water! I have worked in financial services for television shows and it has been a great experience. I have met a ton of people that are different than me and I'm alright with that! I still love them!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it makes life easier to live. When I was growing up my parents were less active members so we didn't go to church as much. When we did go I had so much fun! After my parents divorced and my mom got into an accident my dad came back to take care of my brother and I. By this time I was about 11 turning 12.We then began to go to the LDS Church. The missionaries were coming over and teaching my brother and I all about the gospel. We were baptized on the same day and are members of this church. When I say that this Church makes it easier for me to live, what I mean is that it gives me a sense of direction in my life. It helps me to make choices that would help me to not only be a good person in family but also in the community. I know this because the life I was living, as I look back now, would not have led me in this happy path I am in now. I love this gospel and all that it offers! It helps me to also gather the courage and the strength to keep going forward even when life situations become too hard to deal with. I look forward to raising my future children with my future wife in this gospel. I know it will help them to know how to be good people and how to treat others with kindness, patience, love, sincerity, and respect. I am excited for my friends and the way this gospel helps them with their lives also. I mean there are most times where I don't know what or even how to really help them and I point them to church leaders or the Ensign magazine and they usually find their answer there. I do try my best to help first of course. I know that God truly is our Heavenly Father and does care about each one of us and that He does have a plan that we can come back and live with Him again. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the world and will help us through trials each day as we trust Him. I know that we can be clean as we repent and forgive ourselves as well as others. All this I know because I am a member of the LDS Church.

How I live my faith

Well how I have lived my faith has changed from time to time because I have changed from time to time. always progressing to a higher goal of being a better person and becoming more like Christ. I am currently part of a group of friends and we call ourselves "The Party Rock Crew". In my Group of friends, WE believe that anyone who wants to have fun without drugs, alcohol, crudeness, and anything that would be counted as bad should join our group. WE love to have good, clean fun. WE also love to build each other up and help where we can. I mean one time I needed a ride home from the airport and one of my friends from this group was able to bring me to my house. We definitely have each others backs. Another way I love to live my religion is by helping others no matter what circumstance I am in. I do what I can, when I can. The last way I live my faith is being there for my family, especially my little brothers. They can be pretty wild at times but I love them and it has helped me. It helps me to sacrifice what I want to do at the moment and do what they want to do. Which then helps me to really plan out my time and get done what I can when I can. Living this gospel can be hard at times but I know that it is the right thing to do and I am glad to be a member of this church. Currently I am serving as a missionary for my church and it has brought a new perspective on how God really does bless each on of us. I am grateful to be a member of this church and look forward to the many service opportunities I will have later on in life.
