Hi I'm Marissa

I love spending time out doors and with my family. I'm a daughter, sister, friend, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a college student attending BYU-Idaho, studying nursing. I love life and love my family. I have a strong passion for baking; cookies, cakes, muffins, pies...you name it! I love meeting new people and making friends. I find joy in cleaning, listening to music, and playing the piano.

Why I am a Mormon

The church is my strong foundation, the rock that holds me secure in place. I'm privileged to have grown up in the church my whole life. I didn't gain my testimony of the church until I was in my late teens. I was at the point where I couldn't just depend on the testimonies of others to get me through, I needed to know for myself. This is where much prayer and scripture reading came in. The truth of the Gospel didn't come to me in one big experience, but through small and simple means. This knowledge of truth has given me strength to withstand trials and tribulations that come my way. It has also given my much joy and peace. I love being a member of the church, and know that God has a plan for each of his children.

How I live my faith

I try to do things day to day that help to strengthen my testimony and teach by example. I have served the church in a variety of callings, but may favorite calling was teaching the 4 to 5 year olds in my ward. Children have the light of Christ and pure spirits. They taught me more than I ever was able to teach them.
