Hi I'm Evans

I grew up in Malaysia. Love asian food. I am a mormon

About Me

Grew up in a city call Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. The one thing I love about this city is the food, Hot and Spicy, Sweet and Sour, you name it =) I remember thinking to myself, one of the reason that I would want to get rich is so that I can eat whatever I want =P I have a wonderful family who really love and cares about me. I love them a lot. I love to spend time with my family. One of my favorite activities we do as a family is family home evening (where all of the member of the family drop what there are doing and gather together and spend time talk and interacting with one another). I love sports. basketball, volleyball and badminton are some of my favorite. Recently, I developed a liking for rugby. Even though I am not big or muscular in any way, I do pretty good until I get caught by one of those big players. I love life, I feel that it has so much to offer. I happy and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in a Mormon family. My parents taught me to live the principles of the gospel from a young age by reading scriptures and praying daily, going to church every week and many more.. I don't think I question or complain too much about doing those things because those things made me feel good. I didn't know why or what that meant at that time, since it made me feel good about myself, why not? Life continue on until one day my sister made a comment, "I wish was a convert, being able to go through the whole conversion process and being able to say [I know that this is God's true church]." That hit me, and I remember think to myself "I don't know if this is true or not too". That led to other thoughts like, "what if everything that I have been taught is false?". That panicked me a bit. It didn't take long before I remember a scripture that I learned in primary, "if ye will ask God with a sincere heart, with really intent, having faith in Christ, He will manifest it unto you by the power of the Holy Ghost". and I did, nothing happen the 1st time, and I was like "Oh no! nothing is happening! that means everything is not true!" A thought came to me to keep praying and reading from the scriptures for about 1 week and i did. And I remember somewhere in between the week after I have prayed, a unique feeling came over me along with a thought, "This is true, you had always knew it". Since that day, I knew that this is Christ's church and that knowledge has blessed me ever since.

How I live my faith

Starting of my day with a prayer every morning when I get up gives me a good start. As I take my time to talk to God, I feel His love for me and know that there is something that He has prepared for me to do today. Setting aside time for scripture study every day has done wonders for me. I feel like I learn something new every day, and as I learn more about Christ and His teachings and my identity as a son of God, it makes me want to be a better person every day. I am now serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I setting aside two years of my love to serve God and spread the Gospel to His children. It has brought me so much happiness as I see others make changes in their lives to live according to me faith which has now become their faith. It is a testimony builder to me that this is Christ Church. I know it with all my heart.
