Hi I'm Amber

I crave laughter. I love people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young college student studying Music Education and Exercise Science. But who knows if that is what I'll stick with. Ha! I love to sing anything uplifting and play the piano. I especially love to sing to old people. They are always willing to listen and they're not usually mean; just honest. I have studied American Sign Language for about 5 years. I believe laughter is the best medicine. There is so much to be happy about. My life is really all about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That is what makes me most happy. I eat sleep and breathe volleyball. Ping pong is also a sport of champions which I enjoy. I love to try new things that are of good report. My favorite Superhero is Superman because we can all relate to him; we all have at least one weakness. And I know that because of Jesus Christ, that weakness can become a strength. I treasure my relationship with my Savior. Above all, my Father in Heaven, His Son Jesus Christ and my family are of utmost importance to me. They are the reason that I thrive in this life. They are the reason that I will have another life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am grateful to have been born in the last days before our Savior comes again. I feel it a great responsibility to prepare the way for His coming. I am far from perfect, but have always tried to do what is right. I have been taught by my family, other members of the church and the Holy Ghost. I have done many studies on my own and have prayed to the Father in the name of Christ and I KNOW that this is the Lord's kingdom on the earth. I have gained a witness for myself that Jesus is the Christ, the Savior of the world, who paid for everyone's sins. He and I have the same LOVING Father in Heaven who's most prize possession is us, His children; and our returning back to Him is His glory. This Gospel is on the earth now as it was when Christ lived because a young, boy brought it back by revelation; Joseph Smith, a Prophet of God. By the power of God he translated an ancient record into scripture for our modern day usage: The Book of Mormon. We have a living prophet today who receives inspiration from God. There is one who does not want us to be happy. He opposes righteousness. His name is Satan. He is the father of ALL lies. He entices men and women to do wrong while Christ invites men and women to do right and live the truth. I know being a good person is hard, but doing good will bring us actual happiness. I promise that is true and I know it through the feelings I get when I strive to do good.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by daily actions. I try to follow the motto of: study, pray, serve and obey, every day. Being a disciple of Christ is not a weekend deal, it is a way of life. I have loved serving in my church. I work mostly with the women in helping them come closer to the Savior and bring them relief and happiness. Serving has many facets, but I have found that just talking with someone and really listening to them brings one comfort; both to the talker and the listener. :) Teaching of Christ and His gospel by the Holy Spirit invites others to make changes for the better. I believe that helping a friend heal from being hurt, bringing a meal with an encouraging note to a friend is what Christ would do if He were in my shoes today. I must practice the Master Healer's Art. I just came back from my mission and have not yet found any greater happiness in this life than serving our Father in Heaven's children. We are all one forever family.
