Hi I'm Danny

I write music, I love sports, I work in the healthcare industry, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an avid sports fan. I grew with watching and playing every sport with my friends. For a while I was convinced I was going to be in the NBA. Then I realized I am only 5"7'. I also am passionate about music. I write music on the guitar and occasionally on the piano. I recently graduated from college in Economics and started working in the healthcare industry. I spent two years in Poland as a missionary. While there not only did I grow to love the people, but I grew to love the food, especially the sausage. That brings me to my next passion--food. I love food.

Why I am a Mormon

I can't think of a specific moment when I came to believe that God exists. As early as I can remember I have always known there is a God. This has allowed me the opportunity to develop a very personal relationship with Him, and I have frequently communicated with Him about my life path. Because I have continued to build an ongoing relationship I have sought to keep my life aligned with His will. As a result, I have felt His hand gently guiding me as I have been in need. I am continuing to learn that God will stay by my side whether I am making good choices or not. His continued patience with me has touched my heart and led me to seek Him more often. This has led me to seek the true church. I have received countless witnesses from the Spirit, though at the time it seemed more like a thought or a feeling, that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the one true church on the earth. I have come to receive these witnesses because I have asked for them in prayer, then I have sought them through my actions. I am a simple guy, so I know anyone can do this.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to lead groups within my area's congregation, to plan activities for young single adults, to teach Sunday School classes, to provide service such as painting the exterior of a senior citizen activity center, and to teach people in and out of the church more about the gospel through a mission. I share what I believe in my music as I try to spread hope to others. I live what I believe by choosing to avoid negative media and other influences even if others choose to participate. It is important to me to treat Mormons and non-Mormons the same. There is so much to learn from other people. While I try to share my beliefs when asked, I also want to learn about the beliefs of people of different faiths.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Danny
For me, nature is one of the strongest evidences that there is a God. It is hard for me to believe that the mountains, oceans, forests, flowers, animals, and skies were randomly formed. It is hard to deny the beauty and the peace one can feel while sitting in silence and looking into the night sky. Beyond that, answered prayers tell me there is a God. I have prayed too many times and seen answers too many times for me to think that it has all been coincidence. These were prayers that expressed my concerns of which no one knew, yet were accompanied by answers that were so specific and detailed. God loves us to a degree we cannot comprehend, and as we look we will feel His love in very powerful and comforting ways. Show more Show less
