Hi I'm David Lilo Taufa

I grew up in Tonga. I'm a Financial Analyst. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Tonga. I grew up in a family with five siblings where I have only one sister and three other brothers which includes a twin brother of mine. I love spending time with my family and friends. I served a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints where I labored in the "MICRONESIA GUAM MISSION" from September 2007-2009. I graduated from Brigham Young University of Hawaii with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and I love it. I love to cook, read, and just spent time with friends and family members.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born as a member of this church, but that is not the reason why I'm a Mormon. I know that Heavenly Father lives and that HE loves all of his children. His will is for us to go back and live with him. I know that it is only through this restored gospel where families are taught to live their lives according to the teaching of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon because I know that through temples, our families can be sealed throughout all time and eternity.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by fulfilling my Church callings where I have quite a few and am enjoying every bit of it. For my homeward, I am a Family HIstory Consultant, and I love working with my ward members and help them with their family history projects. I also have a calling as a clerk for my stake, where I help out with some office work which includes handling the financial needs for my stake area, and also book appointments with Church leaders and prepare training materials for Church trainings and just help with the people in General when it comes to anything that has to do with the stakes. I love it and I look forward to hep whoever visits me in my office every Sunday.

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

David Lilo Taufa
As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, we believe that the Church of Jesus Christ has an organization. Jesus Christ himself is the head of this Church, but in order for the Church to run he needs a representative here on the Earth. That is why Jesus Christ called the apostles. And in this dispensation, Heavenly Father called a Prophet named Joseph Smith to restore his gospel and ever since then we have a prophet here in this Earth, and along with those prophets are the twelve apostles.
