Hi I'm Joel Ligaliga

I was born and raised in New Zealand. I am now attending BYU-Hawaii. I play piano, learn languages, and serve in the Church.

About Me

I served in Mission in Panama, Panama City from October 2007 to October 2009. I am ambitious in learning languages. I love music. I am majoring in TESOL at BYUH-Hawaii. I am getting married in December 2012 to the most important girl in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ever since I was a little child. My family has been in the church for a few generations. I being a member because it gives me a perspective in my life. I feel like I am part of something bigger. The Gospel has helped me to really understand how much our Heavenly Father loves us. I know that He lives. I know that His plan is to bring about our Eternal Happiness. Although I am not perfect, I know that with my Savior Jesus Christ's help that I will eventually be able to reach perfection.

How I live my faith

I do the best I can to serve others in things such as Community Service Projects and Service in the Church. I love to share my musical talents by playing the piano and conducting music for various church meetings. I have had opportunities to lead and teach in the Church. One of the greatest opportunities that I had was to serve a mission in Panama. There I was able to learn much more about the importance of serving others. I am grateful to be part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
