Hi I'm Ron

I am a father, husband, and proud grandfather. I help people learn to manage their diabetes. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I cherish being a husband and father of four grown children and grandfather to our sweet grandchildren. I like taking walks and going on bike rides with my wife. I speak Italian, I play the accordian, and I enjoy camping, hiking, and teaching. I currently work as a diabetes educator in a Native American Community.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church when I was seven years old. One day when I was about 13, while walking with my younger brother to a neighbor's home to get a ride to church, I received a peaceful impression that attending church was pleasing to my Heavenly Father. I continued attending church and eventually decided to serve a 2 year mission for the church in Italy. Afterwords I married my wife in the Mesa, AZ temple. I know that the Savior's Church and the truth's of the gospel were re-established on the earth in their fullness through the prophet Joseph Smith, whom the Lord raised up for this very purpose. As I live the truths of the restored gospel, I experience true happiness and peace, amidst a world in turmoil.

How I live my faith

For me, the gospel is a way of life. My faith is increased through daily personal prayer, gospel study, obedience to God's commandments, and in serving others. The Church has provided many opportunities to serve, including working with young single adults, serving as a Scoutmaster, teaching early morning seminary to high school-aged students, and service in leadership callings in our congregation. Despite many opportunities to serve outside the home, the most important service I have rendered is to my wife and children. Weekly designated family nights, date nights, family prayer, family recreation, and attending church together on Sundays has helped our family grow in love for one another and love for God and country.
