Hi I'm Tyler D. Smith

I grew up in Alaska. I was the Student Body President at my high school and am now a missionary for the church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I did a semester at college before leaving to be a missionary. I'm an Eagle Scout. I love playing sports of all kinds. I was the Student Body President at my high school. After graduating from high school I began working in a funeral home. My time there really set hold in my heart that this life is not the end of existence but merely part of a greater existence which continues even after death.

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought up learning about the LDS church but as I grew up I prayed and desided for myself that the church was true. After some of the guidance that I have recieved from being a member, I cannot picture my life any other way.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving as a Missionary for the church. In doing so I am giving 2 years of service to the church. This is a full time job.

Are Mormons Christians?

Tyler D. Smith
Mormons are Christian. Our church is actually known as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This name suggests as it truly is that our church is centered upon a belief in Christ and his Atonement for each of us. As such we believe that Christ did come to this Earth live, die, and then rise again. This being possible because He is the Only Begotten of the Father; our Savior and King. To see more how we as "Mormons" follow Jesus Christ I would invite anybody to attend a church meeting or to read from the Book of Mormon, which is another testament of Jesus Christ and his role in our Heavenly Father's plan.
