Hi I'm Brooke

I'm a Mormon. I'm a dancer, a microbiologist, and a lover of all things that are organized and color-coded.

About Me

I was born in Vancouver, Washington and was raised there my whole life. I love love love to dance. I was on a dance team for 8 years. My favorite time of year is fall and all the excitement that comes with it, but I'm a huge sucker for a rainy day. I love to plan; I can't go a day without my day planner. I live for Taylor Swift songs and long drives on open roads. I attend Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where I am studying Medical Lab Science, training to become a phlebotomist, and studying the prerequisite courses before I move on to Physician's assistant school. I'm an avid blogger; I blog every Sunday about life at the Y and about all the spiritual experiences I am having here. Follow me at brookedavies92.blogspot.com. Ultimately, I am happier than I had ever dreamed possible, and I want to share my happiness with anyone that I can. So let me help you find happiness like I have, you'll never turn back once you do.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of this church because I know it is the only way to true happiness. We have what is called the great plan of happiness. what this means is that if we try our hardest and live the commandments that Heavenly Father has given us, then we can be with our families and those we love for eternity. The church has lead my life since I was young; it has helped me to learn to be a leader and to establish values. I follow Christ's gospel because I know it is true. I know that this is the one true church and there is not a more correct church on this earth. I know that my Savior lives and that he died to atone for my sins. I know that if I continue to strive to live the gospel, Heavenly Father will lead me and guide me towards my divine purpose and eternal happiness.

How I live my faith

I am on the service committee in my BYU Single Adult ward. Basically what that means it that I am part of a group of people that plan activities where we help people in our community and all over the world. I mainly live my faith by spending a lot of time with a prayer in my heart and a smile on my face. I live my faith everyday, it is a part of everything I do. I listen to the Lord and he hears my prayers as he helps direct my life and lead me towards happiness. When I pray I feel close to the Savior and when I read the Book of Mormon he helps me to understand and build my testimony of the gospel.

What do Mormons believe about family?

We believe that family is central to Heavenly Father's plan for his children. We believe that if we live righteously and follow the commandments that we are given, we will be able to live with our families forever. We know and believe that some of the greatest joys in this life come through our associations with our family. Show more Show less
