Hi I'm Matt

I grew up in Idaho and I am currently studying martial arts and several other subjects. Most importantly to me is: I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! My name is Matt. I Currently live in Idaho, I study marttail arts and herbal medicine and several other subjects. I own a small business helping people improve their health and fitness - even people who think it is impossible. Thats what I do! I coach them and prove to them that they can in fact, get into the best physical shape of their life. I also have a Cat - believe it or not his name is Cat - I didn't name him; don't blame me! Uhhmm... thats about all I can think of right now! ... Bye!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church and am so grateful for my parents who taught me how to build a testimony of my own; not based on theirs or what my church leaders say, but instead: having the Faith that God himself would answer my sincere prayer to know the truth. Because I had that faith (that of a mustard seed) I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is His church. I asked, I recieved my own answer.

How I live my faith

Currently I am serving a 2-year mission and I am loving every second of the opportunity to serve others and share with them the "Good News" of the Restired Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

Its a nickname because we beleive the Book of Mormon, like the Bible, to be the word of God. In 1838, Joseph Smith was told in a revelation that the Church should be called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Doctrine and Covenants 115:4). The Church has been known by that name since that time. Gordon B. Hinckley, prior President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has emphasized the Church’s correct name, saying: “We believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God. The official name of the Church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and He is the central figure in all of our worship. “The Church carries the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Redeemer of the world. It is His name by which this Church is officially called. “As for the term Latter-day Saints, members of the Christian Church anciently were called Saints (see Acts 9:32, Ephesians 2:19, Philippians 1:1). They were former-day Saints. We are the Latter-day Saints. It is that simple. “We are frequently called Mormons. It is a nickname given us because we believe in the Book of Mormon as the word of God, a book which goes hand in hand with the Bible, becoming a second witness for Jesus Christ.” Show more Show less
