Hi I'm Christian

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young professional working in the financial services industry. I love being outdoors, running, swimming, cycling, camping, reading, listening to music, spending time with my wife and son, creating and admiring great art, and eating good food. As an article of faith of the LDS church says, "If there is anything... of good report or praiseworthy, [I] seek after these things". As a child, I grew up in suburban Detroit. My father works for an automaker and has always taught me the value of hard work. I am so grateful for the timeless lessons that he has taught me. There are times in my life when I accomplish a hard task and I think of my great family and my wonderful parents. It is because of them that I have accomplished what I have. Most importantly, I have an amazing wife. I never knew that I could love someone as much as I love her. I want to make every moment of her life happy and enjoyable. She does it for me! Families are what make life worth living. If we can follow the Savior Jesus Christ, we will be able to both enjoy our lives with them and live together even after this life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that what I have learned at church is true. God has a wonderful plan to heal our hearts and minds, to cleanse us from our mistakes, and to take us to live with him again with our families. This is all possible through his son, Jesus Christ. I know that for a long time, these simple truths were absent among humanity because people rejected them shortly after Jesus' departure. God chose to bring the truth back, as he had done before through prophets. I know that he called Joseph Smith to be the prophet to restore the truth to the world. Through Joseph and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the truth has been restored. I know that! These truths that I have been mentioning are both the guide and the reason for how I live my life. They include God's commands to all of us, his children. They also include his promises to us, if we live how he wants us to. One of his biggest promises is that if we live as he directs, we can have peace in this life and know that we will b with our loved ones forever. Life can be so hard, so I chose to trust God and live the way he wants me to. I have been happy in my life, despite hard times, because I made this decision. I know that the same can be true for you, if you will ask him what he would have you do and then do it!

How I live my faith

I attend sunday services each week at the local chapel. My congregation consists of young married couples. It is great to learn, grow, and serve with people my age. I currently serve as a missionary coordinator for the entire congregation, tasked with sharing things about our church to anyone who wants to know more. If you want to know more about the LDS church, please reach out to me! I would be more than happy to talk with you! More importantly than what happens on Sundays, I try to live my faith in my home. My wife and I have been married for a couple years and now have a little boy. Marriage is hard for everyone. Raising a child can make it even harder. My faith helps me to work to be better for my wife and son. I know how to be more patient, loving, trusting, and honest because of my faith. It also gives me hope that I can be a good enough father and husband and that we can make it happily through this life. Even with all the hard things that can happen in life, I trust that God will help me because I am trying to do what he wants me to do. God is our father and just wants us to be happy in life. He gives us things to obey that can make us happy, if we will only follow them. I'm not perfect at obeying, but as I've tried to be better, I can feel that God is pleased and that he is helping me!
