Hi I'm Brenda

I raised eleven children, owned my own Natural Health business, and I am a Massage Therapist. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the mother of eleven children. It was the best of times and the worst of times! Without the gospel of Jesus Christ in our lives we may have encountered more difficulty in our marriage. We are in our sixties and still very happy. My hobbies are writing, studying herbology, researching family history and I am a Massage Therapist. I love to read to increase my knowledge of the world around me. I read the scriptures daily.

Why I am a Mormon

I always wanted to understand more about Jesus Christ because as a child the story of his sacrafice touched me deeply. I could not understand how he could be so unselfish, so kind and forgiving. In my own life I experienced anger and frustration at an early age. In highschool an English Literature teacher challenged me to read the Bible to strengthen my ability to understand the classics. I took the challenge. I decided that if there was a church on the earth today it would have to be patterned after the New Testiment church that Jesus Christ set up when he was upon the earth. I looked for a church with Apostles and Prophets, a church that believed that God was a loving Father and not just a harsh law maker. I found these things in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and as I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true I recieved a testimony that it was true. I have practiced living the doctrines of the church forty years now and my testimony continues to grow.

How I live my faith

As part of living according to my faith I stay active in community issues and work towards perserving freedom by writing my opinion in the newspapers or attending group discussions. I also support other faiths, their choir's or programs that lend themselves to strengthening the community. I serve in my church teaching young children about the life and mission of Jesus Christ. It is a great pleasure to serve members of our church as I make monthly visits to their home leaving a message of hope and love. Sometimes it is my responsibility and blessing to help those who have cause to mourn. I have organized others to help provide meals, visits and anything a family or individual might need during a time of loss. A most enjoyable part of keeping my faith alive is being able to teach lessons or give short talks expressing my faith and I am always strengthened when I share my faith.
